@evan @tchambers We walk 10km every day, with the hound, and have grown not just to enjoy it, but to crave it. The dog would enjoy even more, I'm sure.🙂

@tchambers @Flipboard You mention expecting some new #Fediverse service, maybe a #Podcast app or something. I have that same feeling.

Lately, when I've been looking for a software or service, my default starting position has been to ask "is there a fediverse version of this?" It's still early days, but I'd bet the answer will be "yes" sooner than later.

I'd never have imagined asking that question 18 months ago, let alone starting with it. It's good to watch the fediverse grow.

In my part of the world, #Christmas is drawing to a close. It's been quiet: just us and the dog.

It's a hard time of year for many, and this year in particular has been a brute for a lot of people for a lot of reasons.

I decided to let my life be guided by this graffiti in a nearby park. Maybe it'll resonate with you, too.

I can't solve all the world's problems. But I can do this. And when the world is at its darkest, this is powerful.

Be merry.

I do a vegetarian version that I assume pales in comparison, but that I always enjoy nonetheless. A really nice festive treat.🙂

@mike There's a psycho-analytical phenomenon called "the Narcissism of Small Differences" that hits on this, though without the good guy vs bad guy aspect. But it's frustrating! Good actors equivocate or stumble or fail to gain consensus over trivial matters but bad actors steam roll over everything and everyone, in concert.
