@Codeberg (relatively urgently) needs more people helping to run the association behind the project. (Codeberg e.V. registered in Germany)
If you are looking for a *non-technical* opportunity to help running Codeberg please get in touch with us.
Step 1. would be joining the association, if you haven't already (https://join.codeberg.org/), step 2. write an email to contact@codeberg.org
Yes, this is a "pay some money for the chance to do unpaid work" opportunity, isn't it great? 🙂
:BoostOK:
@HauntedOwlbear I just wanted to say thank you for adding the glossary! I had no idea what you were talking about and now learned multiple things from your post. :)
@HauntedOwlbear I don't even necessarily disagree. I just have opinions. But also it doesn't really matter and there's much more interesting things to spend my time on, on a Saturday evening 🙃.
@HauntedOwlbear need to resist the urge to jump into python packaging disucssions. 🤐
@HauntedOwlbear i also got the email, they all look kinda terrible somehow? 😔
I had no sound output from my notebook (via built-in speakers) for a couple of weeks now. It was mildly annoying and I got as far noticing there was no audio device present in the system but I kept putting off actually dealing with it.
I still had this nagging feeling that this broke after we watched a movie via this notebook and external screen/sound system a while back. But that didn't really make any sense did it?

Surely my audio device/speakers wouldn't be permanently "gone" because the last audio sink I selected was HDMI audio out? (As in, across multiple system reboots)
Well, yesterday I tried anyway, connecting an HDMI cable and trying to change the audio-out... Oh look at that, my speakers are back.
I can't reproduce the problem anymore either. Computers are weird. 🤷

If you run your own #synapse #matrix server you probably want to update to v1.105.1 now: https://github.com/element-hq/synapse/security/advisories/GHSA-3h7q-rfh9-xm4v
@blizzz @daniel Google has been doing this since before the AI hype. Maybe they now got more efficient at making stupid decisions? :D
