@ariadne @mjg59 again, not a software licensing expert, but from my perspective, if someone is going to take my work, build something on top of it, make money off it and not "share and share like" with the community, I want them to pay me. In practice, this of course means they won't try and build off my work, but I am OK with that. Whether that's an advantage to the "consumer" is I think a side issue. If I give my creative work away, I want its fruits to remain available to all.

@sparrowsion @ajlanes @goatsarah @rooster I have found that coming to a dead stop and looking them straight in the eyes when someone tries to walk through me is remarkably effective.

@goatsarah @lnr @pseudomonas @mobbsy I am not running any of my 4s, with a fan, including the one that's in the SmartPi enclosure that comes with a fan.

@goatsarah @lnr @pseudomonas @mobbsy i seem to go there about once every 5 years at the moment. It's too long to wait for Pi stuff. My 5 is on back order from Pimorni. Or the pi hut, I forget which.

Oh, and the 5 is supposed to happily run fanless. Just with lower performance (but still better than the 4).

@lnr @sparrowsion @mobbsy @pseudomonas and yet somehow availability is so much worse in the UK than elsewhere. Over half my Pis have been sent out of uk only to be sent back in at my request.

(If i still lived in Cambridge, things might be different.)
