I want you to ask yourself what the reaction would be if a Muslim member of Congress posted a tweet like this celebrating the death of an American citizen who was Jewish being murdered by Hamas and calling them a Jewish terrorist. Shapiro will be the gift that keeps giving to the GOP. In the last week we have learned that he: 1) likely covered up a murder to protect a large donor; 2) covered up sexual harassment in his office; 3) volunteered with the IDF. This is all on top of 1) comparing pro Palestinian protesters to the KKK; 2) spearheading tax cuts to the ultra wealthy; 3) favoring school vouchers. Nominating this guy would be a disaster for Harris.

Look. I don't have all the answers to address what is facing us. But I know the solution is NOT to just keep doing the same thing over and over and over again that has led us to this point.

Just make sure you elect Democrats to the White House, Senate, and House so they can get rid of the filibuster and expand the Supreme Court (even though we have done that already and Dems refused to do either of those things).

Getting rid of the filibuster only requires a majority vote. We don't have to do a damn thing to get Democrats to get rid of the filibuster, they could literally do it today or at any time in the last 3½ years. But they won't. Because they like the status quo. It gives them a reason for why they don't get anything accomplished and allows them to raise funds by making false promises.

They had all three for 2 years and did nothing. For the same reason.

You can't change institutions by repeatedly electing institutionalists.

@gwynnion The way the primaries are set up as well. The fact that Democrats are letting Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina choose their nominee helps ensure a more conservative candidate. If all primaries were held on the same day, it would be more reflective of the overall party membership.
