@lookitmychicken Yeah, floating shelves will have metal brackets inside right about where you're attempting to cut 😬 they should just pull right off unless whoever installed them has...glued them on, I guess?

@lookitmychicken @thalassa yeah I think of genderbend as interchangable with genderswap but I got the impression that it was considered these days less...acceptable, somehow? Than genderswap? Though now I can't figure out where that impression came from

@lookitmychicken My understanding of the concept of parasocial relationships is that being a fan of someone, following their lives, or taking comfort from them isn't inherently parasocial, it's the expectation of reciprocation that makes it that way?

I mean I admit I haven't looked up the official definition or anything, but I thought the term was coined in response to the specific phenomenon of blurred boundaries between individuals and their fans caused by social media

Did a couple of hours drawing, yayyy. Deep in the 'ugly but trying to persevere' stage of things, booo.

I don't know whether to just give in to the low mood and curl up on the sofa until bedtime or try and force myself through some 'fun' activities on the off chance it helps but what if that would make me feel WORSE

Reading the replies on a tumblr poll about "most mischaracterised fanon" and loving finding people who vehemently agree that fandom misinterprets x character but for diametrically opposed reasons. "I am so sick of seeing x as an abusive meanie when he's NOT" and "I am so sick of not seeing x written as the abusive meanie he absolutely IS" sitting snugly side by side; perfect, effervescent, we should learn from this as a fandom but we won't
