I saw a post from someone who was sad no one talked to them during knitting in public day but I can’t find it now to respond to them. Anyway - don’t worry! You knit in public! You carried that energy forward into the world even if no one talked to you during it. More knitting energy in the world is good no matter what. It penetrates into people’s brains and souls subliminally 💜 #knitting#WWKIPDay
@blogdiva@LilPecan I’ve always thought of expat as temporary, and potentially not really by choice but rather by assignment from your company, with the intent to go back to your original country. Retaining your original citizenship. And potentially with really unfortunate tax implications of your working situation. I’ve always thought of “migrant” as “hope for permanency”
I try not to buy paper books anymore so as not to accumulate more stuff. But some things are worth it. I have finally treated myself to a special Chronicle Books edition of Pride and Prejudice. Each letter is reproduced and included in a sleeve within the book. The edition is beautiful. But now I am afraid to open the letters due to a worry I will never be able to fold them again and put them back. #Bookstodon#PrideAndPrejudice#JaneAusten#ChronicleBooks
I recently discovered this designer’s slippers and I’m excited to make some. Having just recently finished a whole bunch of slippers and socks though the “need” is a lot lower than it was a few weeks ago… https://www.ravelry.com/bundles/-s-l-i-p-p-e-r-s-
