I haven't tried it myself, but I remember having read about a virtual webcam module for OBS.

At the same time, there is a screen capture module.

So you could perhaps play the same game without paying for the hardware, but with free (free beer / libre) software instead.

Mhh, well… people have probably put quite some effort in establishing thir workflow and found this a hard thing to do, so I find it understandable if they don't want to step back from it.

I really wish Pipewire would have started to rise earlier, so that as of today it was there where it should be. Because actually when really doing its thing, it is like on OSX but better.

Side remark: I encountered some folks saying the Ardour (or Mixbus) mixer was overly complicated and they didn't understand the routing. I think these are users who never have worked with larger mixing consoles outside their computer, because if you have, you find the Ardour mixer quite convenient. The not-so-nice thing is that they attribute their lack of knowledge to the Ardour mixer being overly complicated. But luckily, today there's Bitwig and Reaper, too. 😜

Perhaps it is time for the web 1.0 again, like sharing information on stupid, dumb, static web pages. Without fancy layout. Just because sharing information was something the elder did, and it felt good.

Like some of us did in 1999 or so.

Some fine day there will be a Google alternative allowing you to find these. A view from above to this web full of information… we could call it… Altavista, or something…

Not sure what's going on exactly but Pixelfed will only show posts with a picture. So if the picture doesn't get included, this might be the root cause.

As stated elsewhere, you need to follow an account first, before your server retrieves any posts from the account of that server.

I have the Pro version, however a very old one. I hope they got their bugs fixed by now. Things like that with a later version the dynamics of my h264 footage had changed all of a sudden, or that in floating point color mode, overflows would yield in funny colors instead if plain white, or not being able to deal with h265 properly, importing FLAC audio but then not being able to handle it. At some point they lost JACK support, don't know if it came back.

I need to upgrade my Kubuntu before I can try the latest version of #Lightworks. Many issues might be fixed now, but it's a hassle to find out if later versions make it better or worse for me.

But I think I should have gotten into #Blackmagic #Davinci #Resolve instead… which is the other professionel #NLE available for #Linux.

I have been using Kdenlive.

It's a good tool, and it can do a lot for the price, but you can feel quite directly that it is originally made by Linux nerds, not by video editing nerds.

I've been complaining a lot about Lightworks, but e.g. it does have a multicam editing mechanism that is missing in many other NLEs.

Hilft leider nicht, die Flacker-Reduzierung zielt auf das Flackern von Glühlampen im doppelten Takt der Netzspannung ab und kann auf 50 oder 60Hz gestellt werden.

Billige gedimmte LEDs sind in anderen Frequenzen unterwegs, hier kommen eigentlich ausschließlich PWM-Dimmer zum Einsatz, die immer flackern. Bessere LED-Lampen in der Veranstaltungstechnik takten sehr schnell, etliche sogar einstellbar (z.B. 1,2 bis 25KHz). Das sieht nur noch die Hochgeschwindigkeitskamera.

Beim Laserbeamer wird das Licht durch ein Farbrad geschickt, zumindest bei einer bestimmten Bauart. Von der Drehzahl dieses Farbrads etc. hängt dann wohl das Flackern ab… wie die Laserbeamer anderen flackern, weiß ich grad nicht.

Was hilft ist eine Kamera mit sehr gutem Bildstabilisator, die lange Belichtungszeiten erlaubt. … Naja, irgendwann verzappeln sich dabei halt die Menschen im Bild, aber moderne spiegellose Fotokameras können recht lange Zeiten aus der Hand gut ausgleichen.

Kurzfassung: #LG hat eine neue #Wärmepumpe auf den Markt gebracht, die speziell für den #Altbau effizienter sein soll als bisherige. Das Außengerät ist besonders leise. Vorlauftemperaturen bis 75°C sollen möglich sein. Das System verfügt über eine Modbus-Schnittstelle zur Einbindung in externe Steuerungs-Setups. (Wie gut das dokumentiert ist, ist natürlich so eine Sache.)

Ich hab mal kurz gegurgelt… Beim Online-Discounter kommen die Wärmepumpe und das notwendige Innengerät zum Marktpreis von ca 6600€ daher, dazu kommen dann natürlich noch Leitungen, Pumpen, ggf. Speicher, Heizungssteuerung, Montage…

Der Knackpunkt scheint mir eher, einen fähigen und willigen Installateur zu finden. Und dank der hohen Förderung verlangen alle nur noch Mondpreise… 27.000€ lese ich bei einem Kommentierenden für den Einbau von diesem System.

Wie schön vereinfachend: Sie nutzen alle den gleichen Stecker.

So, und jetzt kauf da mal treffsicher ein Kabel für deinen Zweck.

Ich dachte erst, das sei wieder so ne Nummer von #DiePartei, aber Satiriker haben es derzeit echt schwer, weil die anderen Politiker ja die Satire schon selber machen.

Neulich saß ich auf meiner Lieblingsdenkschüssel und dachte: Fuck, wenn #Bandcamp jetzt wirklich vor die Hunde gehen sollte, nachdem Neubesitzer Songtradr ja 50% der Belegschaft rausgeworfen hat, was machen wir dann?

Dann: Man müsste eine #Genossenschaft gründen! Ich erwog all die Schritte, dachte an Software-Entwicklung, Zahlungsdienstleister, Serverlandschaften und vor allem an Deutsches Recht, entsorgte die Idee und zog ab.
