3. 🕶️ A view of its user interface (v.202500303, on my Linux PC) with the game Dune 2000 (a re-implementation of the game/book of the same name, set on the planet Arrakis) in progress (for the screenshot, I didn't concentrate much on the game): after only 5min of play I've run out of electricity (I should have built more windmills) and I'm attacked (at the top of the screen) by the AI (2 min later I've lost :)). 📚️ OpenRA is a set of libre, multi-platform, and improved, remakes of the RTS Command & Conquer 1 (C&C Tiberian Dawn), C&C Red Alert 1, Dune 2000 (D2K) and C&C Tiberian Sun (under development), with which they are compatible, but without requiring their data (recreated content). Without trying to be a perfect copy of the originals, they offer the original experience combined with modern improvements (flexible and multi-platform engine, integrated online / LAN game management, content download, widescreen support, fog of war, building capture, unit improvement, ...).

The game features 9 classes (Pyro, Heavy, Spy, Scout, Sniper, Medic, Engineer, Demoman, Soldier) with a variety of skills and gameplay. The free version includes virtually all the features of the paid version (with a notable difference in the maximum inventory size for accessories).

  Dolphin Release 2412 is here and we've got the details for what's new in the latest build. The biggest thing to note is that there's a lot of polishing to help make playing games a little more pleasant. Several key fixes to Dolphin's HLE audio helps bring a few more games toward audio perfection, and adjustments to Dolphin's CPU <-> GPU syncing reduces the number of harmless, but annoying, popup errors that happen in certain games. That isn't to say there aren't any titles seeing significant improvements. LIT (School of Darkness) had a unique problem that exposed yet another unemulated hardware behavior. 2. 🕶️ An FPS view showing the player armed with a futuristic rifle as he enters a large room with 2 stormtrooper in the background and a 3D space map STAR WARS Dark Forces 1 is an FPS (released in 1995, LucasArts studio) with puzzle and strategy elements, set in the Star Wars universe, starting a little before the events of the 1st film and continuing 1 year after. The player is Kyle Katarn, a Rebel Alliance mercenary who helped destroy the Death Star 1 year earlier by recovering its plans. Now he's been hired once again to investigate the Galactic Empire's secret Dark Trooper project, a project to develop powerful battle droids and high-strength stormtroopers. The Force Engine is a libre, multi-platform engine that is compatible with, and extensively enhanced by, modern hardware support and improved rendering.

2. 🕶️ A view of its UI, with a window showing the model to be reconstituted (a screenshot of Minetest), and in the background another window with the parts (the tetrominoes) to be assembled (by drag & drop). At the top of this 2nd window are the menus. 📚️ Tetzle is a libre, multi-platform puzzle game whose pieces are Tetrominoes (geometric figures made up of 4 blocks). This port offers the possibility of using any image to produce the puzzle. Cutting ranges from 10 pieces (default) to almost 1000 pieces (slider selection). The playing surface and window can be extended by drag-and-drop. A help function automatically attaches pieces when they are correctly presented. Saving is automatic and the player can navigate between several puzzles as they are solved. Excellent!

On the screen - centered on the headquarters of the blue team (mine) we see the tank of the red team already positioned near a crossroads, and the blue team in the process of positioning (the troops are near the crossroads) and the tank is selected, we see yellow squares visualizing its possible positions. On the top left, in a yellow disk, the number of remaining moves allowed. On the right, a contextual help on the keys. Each side has structures (headquarters and factory) to produce combat equipment and infantry. The graphics are cute, voxel-like, finely modeled in 3D. Tanks of Freedom 2 is a libre, multi-platform, solo (campaign vs. AI) / multiplayer (in hotseat), 3D turn-based tactical strategy game whose objective is to conquer the opponent's bunker. The player leads his forces (infantry, tanks, helicopters), seizes strategic positions, earns more or less money depending on the positions acquired, confronts the opponent and tries to find (fog of war) and defeat his bunker. The game is inspired by the 1st opus, while offering even more fun and depth, many unique heroes, 4 campaigns, a skirmish mode and an editor.
