In the 1st episode, after a 14 years war, the Terrans (earthlings) and the Vasudans join forces against a powerful common invader, the Shivans and their ship, the Lucifer... FS2Open (FSO, Freespace 2 SCP |Freespace 2 Source Code Project) is a libre, multi-platform 3D space combat game engine, compatible with Freespace 2 and improved. It allows to play this game but also standalone and entirely free games (Diaspora, The Babylon Project, Inferno: Nostos, Wings Of Dawn, ...) and Mods.
