Feels like a regular cold, but it's not. It took four years, but Covid finally got me. 🙃 (I've masked and gotten every vaccination to date, at least. So hopefully this will be a mild experience.)
I had planned to go back to work today, but took a test as a precaution. Good thing I did, I guess.
Part 8 of my SteamWorld Heist livestream is now on @DamageContorlBlog@mastodon.social's YouTube channel. In this part I make my way through more of Vectron, but the Voltbots are a tough enemy. I also tackle a DLC mission, and rerun a prison break mission.
Taking one more night off from work to rest. Tomorrow I will dose myself with medication/painkillers and hope for the best. I also had to cancel my dentist appointment.
I doubt it's Covid, but my husband will pick up a test for me just to make sure. I've been masking and I'm fully vaccinated.
Masking has been so effective that I haven't had a respiratory infection since 2020. I think I've just been knocked off my feet by a something I've not experienced in years.
I'm home from work now. I decided to call it an early night, and thankfully someone was available to take my spot. So I'm just in bed resting. If I can't sleep, I might play a bit of Metaphor on the couch.
I'm definitely not feeling any better than I did yesterday. On the upside, I don't feel worse. But I like a day off work to recover might be in my near future.
ICYMI I updated last night's SteamWorld Heist livestream announcement on @damagecontrolblog with embedded video from Twitch. The fight against Vectron continues. Plus, some backtracking to grind.
I had a pretty good time at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire yesterday.
My throat is also sore and itchy from the cold weather, and all the shouting while watching the joust. The theme this time was vampires and the undead trying to take over the kingdom.
Tonight I'll be livestreaming more SteamWorld Heist for @damagecontrolblog on Twitch. Join me at 8 ET as I continue to fight off the murderous Voltbots, and as this game's difficulty ramps up.
@linky I'm on Bluesky since that's where the vast majority of my friends from Twitter went. Only a small number came here.
I'm running accounts here and there, as I usually run socials on multiple platforms. Bluesky works for me in ways Mastodon doesn't and vice versa
I can say people are making a huge concerted effort not to see it turn into Twitter again, as people realized how toxic it was there. So rabble rousers get hard blocked on mass.
Had a pretty good session with Metaphor: ReFantazio. I'd like to talk about it more at another time, but I like where the game is going. The action takes about an hour and a half to get into, but it's a Megaten game. Expect a slow burn. It's still faster than most Persona games, save Persona 5.
Sharing the video on the blog account so I don't strain resources from this instance.
