According to the wording of the "Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide" there is no genocide. The conditions of Article 2, esp. the "intentional destruction" of a "national, ethnical, racial or religious group", "in whole or in part", is not fullfilled. And you know that.

On July 24, 2025, the Hamas-affiliated "Gaza Health Ministry" claimed that since Oct 7, 2023 (!) there have been 115 deaths due to malnutrition. (https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/7/24/death-toll-from-starvation-in-gaza-rises-to-115-as-israeli-attacks-continue)

In 2025 alone, there have so far been 74,583 deaths in Ethiopia, 95,000 deaths in Bangladesh, 34,000 deaths in Angola related to manutrition.

No Jews involved, no outcry.

And again half-truths and ideological distortions. First, "not systematically" doesn't mean "not at all"; and Israel denies the report by the NYT claiming it has sent evidence for a systematical theft..

Let me put it that way. I have no problems, not even in principle, with people having a critical or negative attitude towards Israel (although they wouldn't hold those against other countries as a whole). But when the negative attitude and propaganda thereof arises from ignorance, projection, and the substitution of moral claims for factual knowledge, then I not only disagree but often respond. This can, at times, occur in harsh language. But you can stomach this, you do the same.

You cannot negotiate with terrorists. Esp. when they are willing to use their own people as bargaining chip.

Oder kürzer: Wenn Terroristen vorsätzlich Zivilisten töten, dann ist das furchtbar, grausam, aber wenn das unbeabsichtiggt ein demokratisches Land tut, dann ist das eine unverzeihliche Sünde, eine Katastrophe, der Untergang der Zivilisation? Woher kommt dieser doppelte Standard, der immer auf eine propagandistische Unterstützung der Terroristen hinauläuft? Sind das nicht wichtigere Fragen, als sich über semantische Petitessen à la "Drecksarbeit" zu echauffieren?

Ein Regime, das Frauen in Gefängnisse tötet , Homosexuelle an Baukränen aufknüpft, das über seine Proxies Israel permanent attackiert, ist ein legitimes Ziel. Der Tod von Zivilpersonen läßt sich dabei nicht vermeiden. Natürlich ist das Drecksarbeit. Gerade weil sich andere davor drücken bzw. nicht einsehen, dass die zivilisatorische Zierde des Verhandlungswegs keine Erfolge zeitigt. Israel steht allein, weil Moral und Mitgefühl wie so häufig Solidarität verhindern.

Entweder billigst Du Israel das Recht zu, sich zu verteidigen, dann nimmst Du ihm gleichzeitig durch Deine "Moral" jedes Mittel, einen Feind, der seine eigene Bevölkerung als Waffe einsetzt, zu bekämpfen. Oder Du verweigerst Israel aus moralischen Gründen das Recht, sich zu verteidigen (was zumindest ehrlicher wäre), dann gewinnt der Terror. So oder so wird es Israel verunmöglicht, seiner eigene Bevölkerung zu schützen. Es ist Deine Moral, die die Drecksarbeit der Hamas rechtfertigt!

Wie ich vermutete, scheinst Du wenig Ahnung von den Nahostkonflikten zu haben. Evtl. hilft dieser eine Punkt (unter vielen): Israel & die IDF (wie auch die Ukraine) unterscheiden zwischen Kombattanten & Zivilisten, zielen auf erstere, nicht auf letztere (auch nicht, um an die Hamas ranzukommen). Iran, Hamas, Russland & die Mehrheit der Russen tun das nicht. Auch werden im Iran nicht "massenhaft" Zivilpersonen "vernichtet". Merz bezog sich auf den Iran & kritisierte Netanyahu für Gaza.
