@HebrideanHecate @ArtistBristol My mom's gyns have offered this procedure to her for the last 8 years. She does not want to go under the knife, so she refused it.
When she told me about it I told her about the complications. Last time they offered it she said that she knew about the complications and everything... And the doctor was surprised about it!
Apparently this doctor (and probably many more) doesn't know what happens in the field. -

I have a male friend who studied to be something like a "geriatrics assistant nurse" (i don't know the correct term in English). He worked at a nursing home for a week, before the COVID started spreading and he was sent home, just days before the lockdown.
First day: He had to wake up a elderly woman... who was TERRIFIED of men.
He expressed his concerns and asked for other things to do but was told that he had to do it.
As you can imagine, when she saw him she started panicking, kicking and screaming and tried to get away from him, almost falling off the bed.
He complained to his supervisor and other staff, and all of them dismissed his complaint. Seems like some of them found it funny.
Yesterday, as we were on the phone talking about it, I told him that that's one of the reasons for same sex care and single sex wards. Men should not be working caring for women.
He asked (teasing me) "What if I identify as a woman", so I told him that he would still be a man AND a dick.
[He told me that he finds the self ID shit so dumb that he can't believe how is it possible that so many people believe in it. I said that it's a cult.]
I told him about some of the cases of elderly and disabled women who have been raped in nursing homes and clinics by male workers/doctors/nurses/caregivers. And that I will send him all the receipts.
Maybe that poor woman who was terrified of men was a victim of a previous caregiver. -

My friends baby is 2 years old. When she was 10 months old I wrote here that she disliked men. She was a very smiley baby with women, but not with men.
She's now 2 years old and she still dislikes men. She has a father, a brother, uncles, grandpas,... She doesn't like them.
She's a wary child, even with women, and needs some time to open up to people. But men? No, thank you.
Talking to another friend who has a daughter of the same age, said that her child loves grandpa, but HATES her uncles (both of them). Mind you, this is a toddler who grabbed my hand 10 minutes after meeting for the first time in almost a whole year.
Is normal behaviour for babies or toddlers to dislike / hate men? -
