They've always hated them for being too convenient of a counter-example to the "systemic racism holding down minorities" narrative. Previously this just manifested as requiring them to meet higher standards for university admissions, but now asian stuff is becoming too popular for them to tolerate.

@Vril_Oreilly@comfyboy.club people keeping up with aerospace stuff have been pointing at Boeing's declining quality ever since the McDonnell Douglas merger. Declines tend to be like this, where there's a slow almost unnoticeable decrease in quality, until suddenly enough has declined that you get a spike in simultaneous incidents.

Like, if you've been following Boeing's space division, the decline has been very visible for almost a decade. First with SLS being a waste of money, and then with the neverending fiascos with Starliner, first a test flight that would've killed people if it actually had crew on board, valves that couldn't handle the florida humidity, fire protection tape that turns out to be flammable, non-functional parachutes and so on.
