I was *sure* there would be a picture of a pair of appropriately spaced Puffball Mushrooms wearing a sexy bra.
But... somehow... none.
In fact I can't find any puffballs wearing any clothing.
That disappoints me greatly.
How, in the whole history of the Internet, has no one *ever* found a pair of puffball mushroom globes on their lawn some morning and decided they needed to be dressed and photographed?
@clacke I just heard NPR use the phrase "If you grew up in the 1900's..." I've seen "the 1900's" used online a few times now, but that was the first for hearing it on the radio.
This feels very odd to me because I was born in 1977 and now I'm hearing the century of my birth referred to the same way "the 1800's" were when I was a kid.
How long before kids act astonished when told "I was born back in the 1900's", or think you must be lying?
I've hated the word "App" ever since it first appeared in the world - but at least then it as a useful word, meant to distinguish normal software from tiny little sandboxed things [usually just custom URLs for stripped down sites] for cel phones. It was irritating back then, but at least useful (if you hear "app" just quit listening). Now *EVERYTHING* is referred to as an "app" no matter what it runs on and no matter what it is. I've heard operating systems called "apps" ffs.
