@lauren haha the last survey I did on Prolific was for likely Waymo or Tesla.

I had a problem getting temporarily suspended on there for seeing through the ad-speak and giving actual opinions, not necessarily the "tell us why you agree with our false premise" bs they wanted me to say.

My responses about robotaxi type services were extremely hostile to the grift of it being safe, and a luxury good marketed to poor disabled people.

@lauren if it is in a traffic accident, who gets a disabled person out of the vehicle when the locks are engaged and there are no door handles?

That's just the first fail-state concern off the top of my head, and that was before all the reports of stopping on train tracks, catching on fire, running over animals, driving on sidewalks, running off embankments, etc.

What bothers me most about the bloated ballbag in chief is that we did not learn anything new about him so far.

All his temperament, all his crimes and associations, all his greed and perversion, all his desire to inflict pain and incite violence - known and quantifiable.

No one needed to elect him to learn these things. They chose to disbelieve, or to "give him a chance".

Fuck those people.

Those people do not deserve to be free or to prosper. They did not deserve to override the rest.

Has anybody ever made something with dried tamarind?

Looking to expand my skill set and am intimidated by the process.

Would like to add it to pepper sauces we make instead of tomatoes for pasta sauce, tamarind adds tang we need to complete the effect. So far we have used purchased tamarind paste, but it is hard to find. I can easily find dry tamarind though.

Hey. Btw. Did you know that standard gaming controllers and computer mice are all designed to fit an average adult male hand and say if you are a AFAB person with hypermobility or arthritis, daily use (even for short periods) of these devices will hurt you?

You can get the same devices in "for small hands" variety - if you use a gaming controller/mouse a lot + have hand pain, consider getting small hand versions.

Update:

Deer processing is gross. Kids are hilarious.

Telephone testing involved pretending to order pizza. Kids had very unorthodox pizza topping requests.

One phone needed repair. Another got an adapter to work. Pretty sure the tin can mic had a loose connection and needs repair too. Cleaned contacts on a cigar box mini-amplifier. Newest clear phone might need repair. Might be sending data noise thru the audio line. Not sure. It needs to be hung up to reset.

Kids enjoyed the xylophone and kalimba I brought for them to toy with.

They had never used a landline phone or seen one, really. It was a very strange moment to have as an adult. Watching kids be confused by technology that every home had when you were raised.

The Very Old phone outperformed them all, tbh. The rotary phone made cool clicks in the line. I suspect the clear acrylic phone has some issues tho. Only one button had a tone. The others had click signals. :(
