I know it feels bad. If we have any feelings left, we're so drained. Doing creative stuff, finding ways to have fun, taking time for yourself, etc. might feel selfish, or in poor taste.

But the muses chose YOU. You deserve to live. If it brings joy or expresses determined resilience, do it.

Of all the things the bastards may take, don't let them take your light.

You may forget when bigotry is not leveled at you.

I encourage you to remember, and distance yourself lest the infection spread.

Community is not found with bigots and callous, antisocial opportunists.

Those people undermine empathy and unity wheresoever it is found. They actively harm relief and recovery efforts with sarcasm and disdain.

Choosing to align yourself with people who display delight when others suffer is well.. a choice.

Hey. Btw. Did you know that standard gaming controllers and computer mice are all designed to fit an average adult male hand and say if you are a AFAB person with hypermobility or arthritis, daily use (even for short periods) of these devices will hurt you?

You can get the same devices in "for small hands" variety - if you use a gaming controller/mouse a lot + have hand pain, consider getting small hand versions.

Update:

Deer processing is gross. Kids are hilarious.

Telephone testing involved pretending to order pizza. Kids had very unorthodox pizza topping requests.

One phone needed repair. Another got an adapter to work. Pretty sure the tin can mic had a loose connection and needs repair too. Cleaned contacts on a cigar box mini-amplifier. Newest clear phone might need repair. Might be sending data noise thru the audio line. Not sure. It needs to be hung up to reset.

Kids enjoyed the xylophone and kalimba I brought for them to toy with.

They had never used a landline phone or seen one, really. It was a very strange moment to have as an adult. Watching kids be confused by technology that every home had when you were raised.

The Very Old phone outperformed them all, tbh. The rotary phone made cool clicks in the line. I suspect the clear acrylic phone has some issues tho. Only one button had a tone. The others had click signals. :(

Employer had a very hard time treating me like a servant because "I don't drink coffee, never learned how to make it".

Ex had a very hard time trying to make me feel insecure about not baking him a cake as good as his mom's.

"Oh, wow. She bakes? Never learned how. Couldn't eat it either way. Hope she lives forever."
