Across the middle of the image is a strip of land punctuated some leafy green trees and a small white house, which are perfectly reflected in the quicksilver grey water of the field. The sky above is huge and grey. The feeling in the image is one of stillness and suspension, like an indrawn breath, or the eye of a storm.
