I was raised Catholic but I'm no longer religious and I don't celebrate #Christmas per se. But it's hard to argue with #peace on Earth and goodwill to all and the #winter #equinox has special meaning to me. Plus, I love the songs, lights, colors, and decorations of Christmas and the #Holiday seasons. I'm very happy with my three year old Norfolk Island pine and enjoy having a living, growing #tree. But that reverse cone shape make its a bit difficult to decorate, lemme tell ya 🤷♂️.

1. Image of a juvenile European starling perched on a slender branch against a deep blue morning sky. Juvenile starlings have sharply delineated black and tan feathers. Their dark feathers have some green iridescence but they don't have the full iridescence spectrum that the adults possess. They have dark eyes and a dark beak. The feathers around the head and neck can be lifted and their sharp points give them a porcupine-spine appearance.

The inflorescence consists of multiple small stems extending from a main stem and each stem ends in either flower buds or opening flowers. The flowers are blue-purple and as each flower opens it extends long hair-like structures that give the inflorescence a fuzzy or "misty" appearance. The background is out of focus green foliage.
