Image of a blue mistflower (Conoclinium coelestinum seems likely) infloresence. The inflorescence consists of multiple small stems extending from a main stem and each stem ends in either flower buds or opening flowers. The flowers are blue-purple and as each flower opens it extends long hair-like structures that give the inflorescence a fuzzy or "misty" appearance. The background is out of focus green foliage.
