Anyone know what the deal is with soda cans and heat? It has been hotter before and I don’t recall such widespread reporting on bulging and bursting soda cans. Is it because of increasingly thin cans? Lower tolerance to increased pressure or something? Or has this happened in the past and I just don’t recall it?

First heard about #Kagi from @kashifshah and this week it got a glowing review from Martin on @linuxmatters , so I'm taking the plunge as search has just gotten so bad. Even if I use one of the alternatives, they are almost all just re-badged #Google or #Bing, so even if you block ads or tracking, the results, because of link poisoning of various types and AI/SEO the results you get even discounting ads, are awful.

I cannot remember when I last had to type it. Even while I was still on dial-up, software like #Procomm did the dialing, but early on had to type it a lot.

For me, the Internet literally was black and white & white—and sometimes black & amber or green.
And it came in about as fast as I could read it, cuz yes I had 300bps at first and then got 1200 when neighbor in the dorm moved up to 2400.

@TechConnectify @ajn142 I think he is saying that the energy content of the gas is variable and the gas utility adjusts the billing based on that variability, so you pay more for a given CCF if it is richer, and less if it is thinner. I don’t think I have seen that/

@mjgardner @newsmast Interesting as I ended up just blocking the domain as a user because it seemed like it was just a bunch of bots re-tooting stuff just because of hashtags. I was thinking, "Man, I don't need that." I'll just subscribe to hashtags if that's what I want.

I have an old program I wrote in .NET that pulls data from an old #SQLServer database, exports it to an Excel file then uploads it to a partner via SFTP. I'm trying to re-write it in #python so it is a bit more automated. One step is for it to run a stored procedure, and while the stored procedure does seem to run (can see it in SQL Server Profiler), it doesn't generate the temporary table that later steps require.
