hey! I know this BTech Radio. I just gave one of mine to a friend.

I still have a couple of FRS radios, but most of mine are handheld multimode VHF/UHF or mobile HF/VHF/UHF.

I'm all Yaesu and Icom now, gave away my BTech. That new Kenwood HT keeps calling my name.

Which IRC server are you on? Which channels do you frequent?

I was Promethh on EFnet, usually on #ascension and #spirituality from 1992 through 2016.

The dissolution of EFnet and many moving to online social media sites/services pretty much killed all the smaller channels except #helpchat and #linux.

I need to leave Facebook and exit Threads and devote my time to better contributing to (and curating) my Fedi experience.

I still miss Internet Relay Chat and Google Wave. Fedi hasn't quite scratched that itch of allowing real-time communication of massive amounts of information and real-time feedback. Its short-form posts and format is still a different way of thinking and a guided discourse.

Taking care of patients post-op, pushing patient gurneys, teaching undergrad nurses, somehow my wife manages to bruise herself several times each week and doesn't notice it until I say something or one of her co-workers do.

Being a clinical care nurse and OR nurse is a rough job? Literally bruising.
