it seems to me that if people are celebrating the cycles of nature it doesn't matter so much if they are being anthropologically accurate so much as it matters whether they're harmlessly connecting their lives to the cycles of the earth in meaningful ways that bring them joy.

i have never typed or used that phrase before and i find it offensive ... i grew up with people who said stuff like this all the time as a way to police each other's sexuality.

this is such a subtle way that heteronormativity and homophobia is reinforced by ML integration into technology.

for so long... like 30 (+/-5) years i was terrified of being gay... i have a wide array of trauma, starting with one really horrifying incident, that really jackhammered into me that being gay would NOT be okay.

... but actually it's been the best thing that ever happened to me by a wide margin.

everything makes sense.

also, i'm not just okay at being gay -- i am GREAT at being gay!
