I know I’m not the first to make this connection, but yesterday as I was shopping for groceries, I saw that a box of cereal was $8.00. Now imagine an adult going home after work and telling their children, “Good news, kids! Today, I earned almost eight boxes of cereal!”

The world got a little dimmer today with the passing of actor Teri Garr. I loved her in Young Frankenstein, but I think my favorite role was Sandy in Tootsie.

Watching this ad reminds me of the MAGAts who, upon getting intubated and dying from COVID, BEGGED for the vaccine—but it was too late. There will be white men who watch helplessly as their daughters die due to Trump's policies on abortion. The court he packed; the zealots who pull his strings. Women are dying. Unless we keep him out of the WH, more will die. These white men who think their whiteness protects them will lose their children to hate.

I think it’s ironic that the female members of this initiative balked at having its name be “David’s Mighty Men.” These white “Christian” men are explicit in their desire for dominion over all, including their helpmeet incubators. Changing the name to Ziklag is window dressing. Those women’s rights will be squelched the second those zealots get into power. Wake up and smell the Folgers, ladies.
