Hey #Gardening people - we're thinking about ordering some #heirloom tomato plants from the #Chicago #Tomato Man. We are complete novices at this and need some guidance.

- We need to grow in an apartment (dwarf or tabletop) or on our balcony in a south-facing building with lots of sunlight.
- We do a lot of #Indian cooking.
- We don't have a lot of experience with tomatoes.

Taking advantage of having grandma still around, we went out on Saturday for a game night at our local Snakes and Latte Board Game Cafe with two friends. Played "Racoon Tycoon" and had a great time. As we read somewhere, it a combination of "Ticket to Ride" and "Catan" - we really love the artwork. Once we got into it, it was a lot of fun. Will definitely play again!

Took the family to Ethiopian Diamond in Edgewater today. We both love Ethiopian food and we've been to most places in Chicago and have our favorite dishes at each place. It was really special to share something that means a lot to us with R's mother from India. Viraj was very good and slept most of the time!

Happy #Thanksgiving from Ruchika, Sean, and Viraj! We decided to do #Parsi Thanksgiving again this year. We started with Irani Chai and butter biscuits. We then had berry pulao and dal dhansak. Everything was #vegetarian (and could be made #vegan. Just to be "traditional" we had an apple strudel from Aldi for desert. Such a special day for little one's first holiday!

Yesterday, we celebrated our 10th anniversary of when we started dating seriously. It was over two icecream cones on the back porch of our former boss’s home (residential campus building) that we carefully thought through what if we do end up being together years from now, which date would we want to remember and Sep 17th it was!

At Pritzker Pavilion for a free concert of Bela Fleck, Zakir Hussain, Edgar Meyer with Rakesh Chaurasia and The Arab Blues hosted by the City of Chicago and the South Asia Insitutue.

The concert has not started but we are excited - the music is a fusion of Western and Indian classical, along with Americana - will report back!

We went out for shopping on #Saturday. Met up with a friend and went to Thaliva Indian Kitchen in Park Ridge. It is a place we have been wanting to go to for a while after someone told us it some of the best South Indian in #Chicagoland. We got dosas and finished the day with a South Indian Filter Coffee. Worth a trip out on the Metra!
