hey pst, people are assuming the Trump campaign got hacked, but this isn’t how hackers operate. some documents are being exfiltrated, but that doesn’t mean it was a hack.

when the Russians hacked the Democrats, they tried to launder the material in careful leaks. when some vigilante hacker gets stuff, they announce it and post the trove. sending documents to Politico from an AOL account is neither of these.

also, the stuff getting leaked is… boring. at best, it’s internally embarrassing for some unknown campaign infighting reason, whiiiiiich MIGHT be a clue, hey?????

especially since a bunch of hard-right weirdos just declared war **specifically** on the people running Trump’s campaign???

i feel like more than "HAMAS LEADER ASSASSINATED" the headline should be "HAMAS REPRESENTATIVE IN CEASEFIRE TALKS ASSASSINATED" because it makes the gravity of what Israel just did **quite** a bit more clear.

before you react to stuff like this on social media, consider that a lot of it is fake. we are well past the time when you could assume most of the stuff you see posted by strangers online is from real people. (this is a MAGA influencer who forgot to switch to his alt)

the Democratic Party should leave X and freeze all its accounts. move to Threads or whatever for issuing communications. it's crazy to me that they keep giving journalists a reason to hang out there.
