The #NAACP is speaking with executives @ companies named in the advisory for reversing their DEI policies — including Lowe’s, Target, Walmart, Amazon, Meta, McDonald’s, & Tractor Supply — & will update its guidance as companies roll back or reaffirm commitments to DEI. The advisory praises Costco for standing by previous commitments, as well as Apple, Ben & Jerry’s, Delta Airlines, e.l.f. Cosmetics & JPMorgan Chase & Co.

The righteous #LetitiaJames, NY AG told hospitals "they would be violating state law if they stop offering gender-affirming care for people under age 19 in response to an executive order from Trump aimed at curtailing federal funding for such treatments."

I hope this means that NY Langone Health will either get sued for denying on 2.2.25 gender-affirming care to 2 12 year-olds or will reverse their loathsome decision.

I understand the fear but, for me, I'm too enraged to be afraid. And, like you, I don't know what to do w/the rage. Withholding taxes (a la Thoreau) is one idea; another is to start a protest in my town. I may just make a sign & stand at a busy intersection & see if anyone joins (or shoots; kidding/not kidding) me. I've canceled WaPo, NYT & Instagram but ready to do more. I coordinate support groups for caregivers and though that's not political, it helps to help.
