It's best they move to another town if they just wanna start anew. I have seen many cases of people going to the city and they are not prepared for how expensive everything is compared to towns.

From my experience people are way more trusting in towns and rural areas without needing to pry much into someone else's life.

@ai@cawfee.club @hidden@cawfee.club I think that, while scaling up population enables some otherwise-impossible feats, like great water and sewage systems, electricity and connectivity, it also decreases the accountability among people, which breeds distrust. In a small-town, if you fuck up badly, everyone will know, and thus, if you come across a local you don't know, you have some sort of assurance they are at least somewhat reliable, as they have managed to live there and not be a known person to keep away from.

This doesn't apply to outsiders, of course. How can i know you're not here for some shady business if no one knows you in the area?

Advice can also be thorough, i.e. whole or complete, or just a piece of advice.

There is also advice that can't possibly be derived from pieces of advice, that is, irrational advice, as opposed to rational advice that can be expressed through pieces of advice.

There are still things to work out, but at first glance, it seems that the set of all possible advice and the set of real numbers are homomorphic.

I just remembered there used to be a "daoist" sect here in Colombia. It turned out to be the grooming place of the "spiritual leader". People be taking the wrong pages from the book of catholic churches smh.

@hidden@cawfee.club I figured as much back then. I came across that news when i found out about daoism and was curious about it. Just a reminder that no sect/cult/church is to be trusted. Only the teachings themselves hold some value.
