i think it is a matter of strategy. Having emacs available on windows/Mac increase the free software adoption. Allowing non free extensions in a otherwise free environment harms user freedom.

Sorry but this is simply not true. Emacs is free software, abiding by all 4 freedoms. You can patch it to use any nonfree extensions you like.

The EFA API seems to be a German thing - I could only find a DE wikipedia entry <https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elektronische_Fahrplanauskunft>, is there English documentation about it?

@Suiseiseki I don't know whether there was a public api that got removed? I've been using a PTV timetable api that requires authentication for about 2 years now, at https://ptv.libreau.org

An abomination called ptv.vic.gov.au: 5MB of javascript, 1MB of css, perfect for people in a hurry to find way from point A to point B by public transport.

@coolboymew can someone translate? Also what's the origin of the lisp monster, is it from Land of Lisp?

@eieio flappy-dired is probably much easier to implement because of the extensibility of emacs
