Once again for the folks in the back.
I figure I should stay the hell away from his cars and rockets.

Unlike office workers, remote workers don't spend the full 8 hour workday working.
Now please excuse me while I socialize with my coworkers over breakfast, attend an hour-long pointless meeting, grab a coffee in the break room, go rest up at a sleep pod, go out to lunch, take a stroll to visit Vic in engineering, join a meeting in a tiny booth, get away from my desk for a bit, grab another coffee in a different break room, then head out at 4 to beat traffic.

Voting already starting and they want to change the rules so that Kamala won't get the 270th vote in the most-likely scenario of a WI-MI-PA sweep, sending a 269 vote to the senate to pick Trump as winner.
Literally there is one single (Republican) guy in Nebraska on the board that is holding steady in his refusal to do this, and if he waffles then Harris will have to win ANOTHER swing state.
Getting pretty tired of a single Republican being the decider on democracy.
I'm struggling to keep up with Phase 2024 of America: The Series, honestly. Like am I supposed to watch the 3rd party candidate stuff too?
It must be said that not only did RFK Jr. cheat on his wife Cheryl Hines with reporter Olivia Nuzzi, but Nuzzi wrote the infamous "Conspiracy of Silence to Protect Joe Biden" piece. Tell me more about the "fake news" liberal media targeting Trump and his cohorts.

For a while, the open web made tech books obsolete, as any information in a book could be found for free on the web.
Now, Gen AI is making the free tech article web utterly worthless, almost every page is obvious AI slop with no useful information, and the only way to actually get any information is a book.
But slowly the tech book world is being taken over by AI as well, and there's a noticeable lack of human editing at play in many of them, even prestige brands like O'Reilly.
“The Vance campaign provided the Wall Street Journal with a police report to prove their claims about cat-eating Haitians in Springfield. The WSJ spoke to the woman who filed it, who said she later found her cat alive and well in her basement. She also apologized to her Haitian neighbors.”
Truly incredible.
Honestly this is an absolutely wild thing to say for a guy who bought a platform specializing in short plaintext posts because he wanted it to be funnier.
Good night to everyone except Donald Trump.
The thing that I find so fascinating about Trump is that he really and truly cannot help himself. His advisors are telling him to stop with the personal attacks, and he says he can't because he hates anyone who runs against him, as a person. So he has no choice but to be mean, it's who he is.
And ultimately that will be his undoing.
Because the truth is, Biden and Harris both have emphasized unity, rejecting divisiveness, and working across the aisle...
Honestly, I think the Project 2025 stuff isn't landing anymore and we should drop it, or at least drop the branding.
The printed out book was a nice visual at the DNC but ultimately Trump is denying involvement with it, saying it's too extreme, and "fact-checkers" are saying claims related to it are false because he doesn't support it. There's really not a lot more you can do there, and it just makes it look like Kamala is attacking the wrong target.
Talk about what he DOES support publicly.
In left-wing circles, they have convinced themselves, once again, that Donald Trump is going to walk out on that debate stage and poop his pants and throw up when faced with Kamala's debate prowess. She's going to "wipe the floor" with him.
And the same group of people literally said the exact same shit leading right up to the disastrous Biden debate.
Trump will do fine. She will not get under his skin. He will not faceplant. The man is a lot of things but bad on TV ain't one of them.
Try to remember what happened leading up to the previous SOTU. The republicans were saying that Biden couldn't possibly get out there and give a coherent speech, setting the bar so low that simply not falling asleep in the middle of it became a huge success.
The Democrat community is doing the same shit right now, talking about Trump dropping racial slurs and engaging in endless word salad. If he walks out there and just talks like a regular person for a few hours he'll be seen as killing it.
And no, liberals who seem weirdly excited for this, he will not say the n-word.
I've never seen a group of people so excited at the prospect of someone dropping a vile racial slur on live television, reddit is convinced a guy who has managed to avoid ever being recorded saying it is going to say it when he's live in front of millions of people during a presidential debate because she's going to put him off his game so much.
Just, pure delusion. He's going to do way better than you think.
Case in point.
Take a guess, is this a comment from /r/conservative about Biden 6 days before the first debate, or a comment from /r/politics about Trump today?
Meanwhile if Kamala says one wrong thing, makes one false claim, laughs slightly too much, backtracks on one issue, or fails to perfectly thread this Israel/Gaza needle once again, the clip of her doing so will be all you see the next day.
Democrats are way too excited for this debate, thinking it's going to be the thing that propels her to polling outside the margin of error. It's going to do the opposite, this debate can only hurt her, because the standards are not the same for her and Trump.
I actually don't mind that the Dana Bash interview was basically just her forcing Kamala to address all of the GOP/Trump talking points from the last month. It's going to spend all of that before the debate, he'll have nothing to go off.
That's how it's DONE https://people.com/foo-fighters-donate-my-hero-royalties-to-kamala-harris-campaign-8701472
I really love how all of these musicians are publicly coming out against Trump the instant he uses their music without permission, but I think what I'd like to see instead is they all approve it and donate the licensing fee to Kamala Harris's campaign. Make him afraid to play any music.
Fuck it, I still call it "tweeting" no matter what service I'm using. Everyone knows it means microblogging and the guy who owns the term doesn't even want to use it.
It's like using "googling" to mean searching except that there's not even a corporate brand to affect.
This right here is a tweet on Mastodon.
Furthermore: X is a twitter, Threads is a twitter, and Mastodon is a twitter. Bluesky is a small, niche twitter. Truth.social is a racist twitter.
I'm just going to start using it like kleenex.
I washed an aspirin down with my thermos after googling jacuzzis and saw someone tweeted a video of a guy getting hurt on a jet ski and trying to dress the wound with band--aids, q-tips, and velcro, so I left myself a post-it note to pick up kleenex and chapstick tomorrow.
