   A new day. A new chance to succeed.

   Flying low this morning. Things to do. Places to be. Stuff I want to get done and I need the help of other people to do it.

   Not to say I'm not taking the few moments I need to acknowledge the morning. To be thankful that I woke up and have the wherewithal to do what needs to happen.

   It does mean that my quiet perusal of the morning and leisurely breakfast will get stuffed into a box.

   Thought of the day:

   When the fash pull out a tactic that they have used before, they expect it to work the same as last time, because they don't really believe that things like change & progress happen.

   It's our job to learn from fascist tactics so that they are surprised when they pull them out & they don't work on people the same as they used to.

   People learn, change, & grow, & that is one of our fucking greatest strengths when it comes to the fash.

   Has anyone else been experiencing this minor annoyance?

   Resealable bags (not Ziplocs, food that comes in their own resealable bags) that won't reseal anymore because the zip part has disengaged from the bag? At first I thought it was a one-off, then maybe a bad batch, but now I'm getting it with various different foodstuffs and it's gotten to the point where I'm expecting it to happen.

   It's a good thing I have a ton of clothespins that I use in the kitchen for non-resealable bags.

   @aral I get that—and the threat is real. But for the entirety of my life—nearly 44 years—I’ve been waiting for the nuclear holocaust to happen.

   It hasn’t.

   I’ve now lived more than half my projected lifespan under that same shadow, and the world’s still here. Not because it can’t happen, but because, statistically, most of us will die of natural causes before it does.

   And I suspect you believe the same—since it’s highly unlikely you’re posting this from the safety of a nuclear bunker.

   There's ONE reason that Trump is demanding that the EU stop buying Russian oil: he wants his buddies in Big Oil to be able to step in and fill the void it creates, and of course Trump will get a huge "finder's fee" for making it happen.

   It's ALL about the grift.

There is little to no reason why the Linux Kernel, one of the most resourced (if not the most resourced) FOSS organizations in the world, has difficulty finding servers/creating code that can handle the load without Anubis. They inserted the rent-seeking maneuvers from the start. They were hoping it would happen.It wasn't until the viral thelibre article came out that people started mass adopting Anubis. It is possible the creator set themselves up for promotion
