A friend and former boss who knew we were Disney fans and who was also a Disney fan, knew my distaste for the ride and the song that gets stuck in your head for years at a time, declared war and called me from the ride to get the song stuck in my head. It’s been an ongoing hot and Cold War ever since.

It took me two days to layout this power supply section and do all the math/tweaking to optimize it for BOM count and still be within spec. BUT! If it does what I want, it's "some wildly variable voltage in (+9 to +15v), +5v/-5v out, and switched for battery use efficiency.

@ra ha! Looking at the current results, I suspect you have some selection bias toward people who remember what the early Internet was like and that’s what drew them to Mastodon.

@roadriverrail @vk2gpu I had a similar severe-pull-but-not-break situation on my ankle from a motorcycle almost-accident (didn’t actually go down, but did twist my foot around 180deg). Doc told me he almost wish it had broken; they have ways to fix breaks, but pulled tendons and ligaments just need to heal on their own, and never quite heal fully.

That was 15 years ago. It’s pretty much healed at this point. At least, it’s no longer the dominant problem. 🤣🥲😢😭
