Him: oh good luck, it hit me hard.

Me: really? I’ve heard from most people that it wasn’t too bad; I’m sorry it was bad for you.

Him: oh well I got the flu shot at the same time. And pneumonia. Oh and shingles.

Me: four shots at the same time???

Him: oh, and TDAP. I knew I was missing one.

The niece and nephew are making bookmarks for me to sell at a holiday fair (where I sell my books) this year! They get to keep the money from these and are working hard on them.

We’re trying to decide on pricing. What do you think is fair for bookmarks hand-decorated by children?

My niece and nephew are coming to stay with me for a couple days and we are doing my niece's belated birthday activity: feeding a river otter at CuriOdessey on the peninsula. (it's a fundraiser for a new habitat).

My 9-year-old niece is OBSESSED with otters and doesn't know we're doing this and I get to tell her tonight! I'm very excited.
