I get to sleep in my capsule hotel at the Mexico City airport for a few hours and would like to know wha this strange blue icon means. Maybe I’ll wake up to one of you having solved it.

Today I saw crocodiles

My mom: Zora keeps pushing me out of bed at night

Me: you can just have her sleep in her dog bed

My mom: why would I do that?

My mom lets Zora sleep in their bed and then Zora stretches out her long legs and pushes my mom to the edge

there was an agriculture dog at the airport and a lady whose sole job was to say very loudly in English over and over YOU SHOW THE DOG YOUR BACKPACK

I am reminded that, while I love tropical beach vacations, I would have a hard time living in this kind of humidity for very long.

My hair is a disaster, my glasses keep fogging, and I am not comfortable sweating this much!

I was crabby the day before and the day of both but I made it through! And I can mask crabbiness with kids at this point in my career.

But I’m REALLY looking forward to my time off.

@kingrat because my days start later, I did. I took a quick nap and saw students.

It was a bad choice but also I’m about to have almost three weeks of no income (students’ break and my vacation) so it’s r was somewhat necessary.

This week:

Monday: vet appt for bloodwork, clear liquid diet for colonoscopy prep (plus the grossness of colonoscopy prep) AND WORKING A FULL DAY

Tuesday: Colonoscopy AND WORKING A FULL DAY

Wednesday: dog oral surgery AND WORKING A FULL DAY

Wed at 7:40 pm: about to get into bed.

Re: the colonoscopy: Kaiser says to start with a low fiber diet 3-5 days before the procedure. Well, which is it? 3 or 5?? That’s a big difference.

@kingrat 7 am (in two weeks)!

Kaiser (my insurance company) doesn’t like for people to get screening colonoscopies presumably because they’re expensive. But I’m 50 now and a lot of guidance says it’s pretty important and I’ve had a few friends with no family history yet colon cancer. So I fought and fought for one.

Now I’m looking at the gallon jug of powder that I’m going to have to turn into pooping juice in two weeks and I am reaaaally regretting pushing for this.
