@dalias I remember trying to get references to equation-numbers to work in katex on my website that renders from md and giving up. Mathjax had the plugins for getting it done despite my limited webdev experience. But I do remember katex being much faster. Have things changed with the equation referencing ? :O

I do not understand why subscriptions for basic tools don't evoke fear in the average consumer. Is it the greed for convenience ? Is it the feeling of superiority when you meet someone who cannot afford the service ? Or simply resignation ?

WOW. What a waste of money and compute. Rather than cataloguing humans for future business and state-based exploitation, all this energy and investment could be spent on research that will actually change our lives for the better (climate, fuel, public infrastructure...). Why are idiots allowed to fund other idiots and propagate this Idiocracy ?
