@LetsRoc Sorry to disappoint you, but I will be voting for Joe. I’m taking zero chances we end up with the fascist, racist, rapist pig. This is not the time to lodge a protest vote, but we do need to unite to demand electoral and judicial change. I fear there aren’t enough of us. Americans settle into discomfort like a favorite old pair of shoes that don’t keep your feet dry, but you don’t want to be bothered to break in a new pair.

@LetsRoc I agree he should be barred, tried, and jailed because we all know he’s guilty of high crimes. Our media elite, our billionaire oligarchs (who own big media), and Putin want their puppet back in power. We are fighting against a very insidious network of global fascists. You may have noticed it is happening in multiple countries, not just the US.

My daughter took a job as an asst teacher at a Montessori school in October 2023. Since that time she has been infected on the job with hand, foot and mouth disease, norovirus, RSV, and now she has COVID.

Thankfully she was boosted about 2 weeks ago - after she recovered from RSV. She’s missed so much work (unpaid) and her poor body has been through hell.

I want to go bang some heads together. Sick kids are allowed to come to school unmasked.

Time for a better job perhaps. This is ridiculous!

You know what I want to know about #Jan6… what happened to those cops we watched on tv live coverage move barricades, wave folks in, and seemingly help the insurrections? Are we pretending that didn’t happen now?

My husband returned from a few days spent with his parents. He said he had long talks with his inexplicably Trumpy dad about his support for him. He’s not a bad man, just easily manipulated by Fox News.

After long discussions, his dad came to him the 3rd morning and told him he sees everything more clearly and is embarrassed he voted for and supported Trump. My husband showed him truths he hadn’t been exposed to before.

Proof we need to work harder to break the spell!

Former 15 year affordable housing exec here. It’s the poverty. Single parents did just fine raising their kids after being moved into homes they could afford. Kids did better in school too. Funny how having a quiet bedroom to study in makes such a difference. I watched parents train to get better jobs too, because they weren’t afraid of losing their govnt subsidies. They could finally afford to let them go and take jobs like EMTs, nursing, office managers, legal aids…

I'm hearing on the streets that in our 'free country,' you're not allowed to criticize #Netanyahu in any way, shape or form for anything he says or does or you will be canceled - even if you're Jewish.

My daughter just canceled her 2024 birthright trip. My accountant canceled his annual Tel Aviv vacation. My friend canceled her Jerusalem art exhibition. None canceled out of fear. All canceled on principle. We can cancel you too, Bibi the Butcher. Jews are not a monolith.

My daughter was walking to the King Soopers grocery in Boulder, CO as it was being shot up by a gunman. Her dad called her to make sure she knew it was going on. That call turned her around and she went home and locked down. She moved to #Maine a few years ago. I texted her now about the Lewiston, ME shooting happening. She didn’t know. She’s 20 mins from #Lewiston - not close, but not far enough for me.

I’m more frequently seeing new accounts show up that are arguing for only one thing, repeatedly. Remember the large scale disinfo campaigns on Twitter made to look like real people from real places and with real lives? I think they’ve discovered #Mastodon.

So, a friendly reminder not to believe everything you read on here. Check out the person’s bio and timeline before buying their story - especially if you find yourself nodding in agreement. We can be better than Musk’s rat palace.

A #Washington hospital gave my mom, a #cancer patient, #COVID. Most people in the ED were unmasked, incl healthcare /staff. We were masked. A nurse removed my mom’s mask to take an oral temp and did not replace it. I returned from talking to family to find her on a gurney in a hallway filled with unmasked people. I replaced her mask.

She was admitted and 2 days later she was COVID+ . She declined very quickly after that.

There’s no legitimate excuse.

It’s wild to be looking at houses where you grew up and seeing that in no way could you afford to go home again.
