Disappointed but not surprised. Legal risk aversion within health care organizations always supersedes medical ethics and patient interests. Nonetheless, fuck whatever c-suite executives made this decision.
What is happening on RedNote is WILD. I'm having conversations with health care workers in China comparing and sharing experiences. Americans are asking Russian users about Russian social media apps. There is a shared earnest desire for cultural exchange that is transcending politics. I have no impression it will be allowed to last but it's really refreshing.
It happened. The #tiktok app use by 170,000,000 in the US is banned. In my life this is probably the broadest government silencing of community, speech, and commerce I've witnessed. I don't know how many on here use the app but as someone who does the effect is wild.
Billionaires are spending $6 million dollars to eat a banana marketed as art and the CEO of Kellogg's told people to eat cereal for dinner if they can't afford groceries.
Of course there will be a revelrous response by Americans at the shooting of the UHC CEO. Those within media who report feeling "shocked" by Americans lack of empathy for Brian are clearly out of touch with the day to day experiences of most people which is reflective of their unsuitability to remain working in the field.
Part of a group in #anchorage#Alaska trying to get a #streetmedic group off the ground. Any folks in other cities/communities with resources or advice based on past/present experiences? Especially interested in how folks deal with some challenges that come up in particularly cold environments or environments that are in proximity to wild spaces (perhaps tree sitting folks have something to add?) Thanks in advance! And boosts welcome! 😘
@inquiline@hakan_geijer as i said in response to the other resource but it remains true, thank youuuu! we've been referencing other manuals but this is a new one and will be a great supplemental resource to pull from ❤️ ✊
In defense of university administrators, they are doing an excellent job teaching young people that whether it be a university or a business, institutions don't give a shit about you and have no qualms about throwing you under the bus to protect their interests.
@melissabeartrix i was going to jokingly say "i bet there is a yelp review saying this" and then looked up 1 star reviews and i absolutely fucking hate how right you are 😂 The half dozen one star reviews are mostly variations of this
I think carving a tunnel through a 2400 year old tree and then charging people money to drive a car through it sums up US culture better than anything else
This is the most insane scientific paper I've read in a hot minute "Here, we report on a 62-year-old male hypervaccinated individual from Magdeburg, Germany (HIM), who deliberately and for private reasons received 217 vaccinations against SARS-CoV-2 within a period of 29 months" #COVID#vaccineshttps://www.thelancet.com/action/showPdf?pii=S1473-3099%2824%2900134-8
