Reasonably salient comment on burnout. Worth reading if you are feeling on edge yourself, and perhaps even if not.

Interesting, I wonder if they partner with anywhere in Europe? I have been meaning to get back into gardening since 2021😅

@dalias or things you don't own - simply threaten destruction, then present a moderate "no destruction fee" that happens to exactly equal the amount of damage you would cause

@fsf Watching this has been on my to-do list for nearly a year. Finally trying it out on a new Ruby project today!

What do you mean by "toxic content/appearance paradigm"? Do you think the separation of content from appearance is a bad idea, or that HTML/CSS doesn't do it well, or something else?

I looked up your example https://fosstodon.org/@siderea@universeodon.com/110687656577995679 and while it sounds like maybe there's a feature missing (greater control over line breaking?) it sounds more like something that could be patched than "this technology is a mistake". What do you hate about it?

CSS question I don't know how to Google: I have a string of the form "Stuff and Nonsense". It's in a H1. If the viewport is too small to show it all in one line, naturally, it breaks it on a space, like "Stuff and Nonsense". Yuck. I can use a to make it instead break "Stuff and Nonsense" which is worse. What I want is to have a responsive(tm) solution that is contingent, such that if it has to break at all, it then breaks in TWO places: "Stuff and Nonsense". Is that a thing?
