My own feeling about this stuff is that, even though a "united Europe" is a white nationalist project in the grand scheme of things, the Eurovision Song Contest is less grand than that.

It's just nation-state PR event with pretty lights and glitter and has very little to do with geographic or cultural "Europe"

(also: "Europe" is not a singular culture or entity, no matter how much Brussels or EBU wants to convince you otherwise)

And there is some kernel of truth to that.

At the same time, however, building a multi-national empire isn't exactly "progressive" in any way tbh

So while there might be some good things the EU supposedly does well for its people, it is still a hierarchical power structure which aims to be a bona fide superpower.

And I don't think any amount of "good regulation" will wash that taint.

IRELAND, FRANCE, FINLAND AND SPAIN HAVE MET THE MINIMUM THRESHOLD!
