Hello @dansup , We are working on https://socialfolio.me and would like to add a widget variant for the Pixelfed widget where we want to display the newest few posts of the user. For that we somehow need to get user ID from instance domain and username. On Mastodon the lookup endpoint is available without authentication, but on Pixelfed this endpoint can only be reached with an auth token. Is there a reason for that or would it theoretically be possible to make this route public?
Everything is working fine, the only thing is that followers and following count is completely wrong. I think somehow it counts only the followers/followees from our own server. Have a look at the screenshot.
Does anyone know if there is a way we can fix this?
Since today I am hosting my own #Pixelfed instance.
As VPS i am using #Hetzner, a german cloud provider. The pricing is really good and also the web interface is great. I can really recommend them.
As server operating system I am using #YunoHost and it's just awesome! I never imagined that it can be so simple to setup a server and install applications on it. Pixelfed was basically a one-click installation and everything worked out of the box.
We just released the latest #Pixelix update. It fixes some major bugs, including the bug where it was not possible to login on some instances like pixey.org or pixelfed.fr.
There are also some cool new features. Have fun with the app!
The update is already available as APK on Github. It will be available on Google Play Store in the next few hours, and on F-Droid in the next few days.
When you visit the Play Store page of our #Pixelfed client #Pixelix you will notice that there are no reviews visible yet - just because there haven't been enough submitted.
I would like to ask everyone who installed #Pixelix, for two minutes of your time. Please write a short and honest review and point out the good, but also the bad things, so people know what they can expect if they buy the app.
