Why are there only messy codebases and incredibly strict codebases?
Autist at work are forcing me to add xml comments to everything.

The issue is that the codebase is brand spanking new. So the autists are obsessed with keeping everything "pretty" and "proper" in their overengineered monument to the all mighty style guide.

Uncle Bob recommended something like that IIRC.

Because bools are named true and false and that could confuse particular individuals.

So he advised to always use enums.

Lamp state = true/false
vs
Lamp state = on/off

It's one of those micro optimizations to readability that only academia could have come up with.

@PurpCat @Forestofenchantment it's interesting though. Leftists/losers are attracted to certain things. What about Furry attracts so many losers? I'd guess it's that the fandom is all about hiding your real body. Either behind an avatar or in a fursuit. It's like cosplaying as a dangerous/sexy/muscular animal instead of an overweight/neet looser.

@JuniperFlower so we are based in the meme ha ha hitler way. But if furries come in full fuirsuit to our "based" convention we are all like "uh-hhh, no big deal. Gotta be polite!"
