Sharaz Luke (sharazluke@mastodon.world)'s status on Wednesday, 22-Jan-2025 04:01:06 JST Sharaz Luke Hey all,
Another great #TuneTuesday and the theme that could well be my middle name:
Could easily have been some Tribe, De la Soul, Portishead, Zero 7, UB40, Massive Attack, Hans Zimmer … all of which I’ve mentioned here before on other hashtags.
So I’ll go with something a little different. Instantly chills me out, and reminds me of 90s rnb.
Tevin Campbell and Can we talk.

And with so many to choose from I’ll go with a song from Arcane League of Legends series 1, which comes with a reminder that Arcane series 2 starts tomorrow on Netflix.

It’s #MusicWomenWednesday brought to us by @loewe
The weather is warming, and the days are already impossibly long.
Time to wind down the car windows and chill on the commute home.
For your ears I’ve gone with a great neo-soul song by the excellent Biig Piig.
Here’s “Oh No”.

Some brilliant suggestions so far!
One song from my childhood that haunts me til today is the theme from Pugwall - an Australian show from the 90s.
And as I’m sure many of you are experiencing, I’ve now got me selection firmly stuck in my head 🤪

Sharaz Luke (sharazluke@mastodon.world)'s status on Tuesday, 01-Aug-2023 23:48:25 JST Sharaz Luke It’s #TuneTuesday everybody, and we have the wonderful theme of #TravellingTunes - wonderful as I’m actually travelling at the moment!!
Thanks to @metalpoetnl for the selection and @Kitty for organising.
When we load up the car and hit the road , I always start off with something relaxing.
So here’s some Hans Zimmer and Day One + Cornfield Chase from Interstellar.
As sometimes the drive to Cornwall can feel like we’ve been on the road for a very long time!

One song that I just loved growing up is Livin’ on the Edge by Aerosmith. The song just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

for organising.Today it’s @VestigialLung selection of #FunSong - The song you're pretty sure is meaningless, or just kinda silly, but damn, is it ever enjoyable
My starter for 10 is the Flight of the Conchords with their Pet Shop Boys homage: Inner City Pressure.

Sharaz Luke (sharazluke@mastodon.world)'s status on Friday, 14-Jul-2023 02:21:24 JST Sharaz Luke #thursdayfivelist and the theme #thelive - that is, any awesome live track to shout from the rooftop.
I’ve posted many favourite live covers, but this time I’ll post live performances that I’ve been to. And I normally post 4 images and then 1 vid, however I’ll try to post vids as part of a thread.
So, to kick us off, A-ha and Analogue (I saw them I think in 2020 in Brighton).

It was my best friends wedding (I was DJing) and after the speeches and first dance, no one was dancing. I played a few slow songs then played this.
It’s went off and the night grew and grew - and was an eventful blur of fun and frolics.

Sharaz Luke (sharazluke@mastodon.world)'s status on Tuesday, 04-Jul-2023 21:32:44 JST Sharaz Luke Yey, it’s #TuneTuesday again, and with the theme #ShakeTheDanceFloor
A song to fill (or empty) a dance floor
As an inhabitant of many a dance floor and an ex DJ, this topic is a fav of mine. I especially like tracks that take a dance floor from zero to banana’s .
So my first is a track that erupted when I was out about a year ago. I think the combination of the beat, simple lyrics and the viral video meant that everyone jumped up and boogied!
Kiesza and Hideaway
