I think those of you who write off the Trump admin as JUST sowers of chaos are making a huge mistake with huge consequences.

Of COURSE Trump is an agent of chaos. That is his job description.

As appointed by the very organized, deliberate, and intelligent eugenists behind the curtain who aren't just responsible for Project 2025, but who have been setting up for this opportunity one way or another since the Nixon administration.

It's going to get bad, and it is going to get bad fast for people who might not be you at first, but don't fool yourself.

I don't think anyone can afford to wait this one out.

They spent the last four years getting the scaffolding in place for what they will now build.

The political infrastructure won't save you from an entire system which ignores laws and the constitution if nothing can enforce those things, and now, very little will.

Trump is there to sow chaos. He is both figurehead and sideshow. But he is not the operation, just its means.

@puniko I travelled 1st class on most days I went in to ZH because the day upgrade was 8.80 and it was at most 2x/week (COVID reasons plus too much rush hour input). But if I go in every day, which seems to be happening, I might as well upgrade.

In Germany, one of my good friends is from Tanzania, and we find it darkly amusing that in conversations, she refers to herself as an expat, and I call myself an immigrant. For exactly the same reason. Watching people choke as their expectations are messed with can be amusing, when not infuriating.
