@drewharwell Whatever you do, don't attribute "There's a sucker born every minute" to P.T. Barnum. There's a commenter in the thread very angry about that and has corrected people at least three times. Obviously a very common unverified attribution of a quote is far more important than the story, the grift, etc.
It's kind of hilarious in an idiotic way. It's like - THAT'S what you got out of all this? OK, angry quote guy.

@mattblaze Appreciate your continuing to fight the good fight. I work for a huge worldwide corporation who was hit by ransomware. Systems were down for WEEKS. I was amazed.
I am accused of being over the top with the security I have on my home network/computers.
Not too long ago, I informed my cousin that her Wi-Fi SSID was coming up on my phone while I was waiting in the pharmacy drive-thru across the street. A good 150 yards from her front door. I texted her to tell her so and explain that she should dial down the power on her router, and why. Got kinda shrugged off. O...K? All I can do is tell ya.

@dangillmor I lost faith in SEC Enforcement a long time ago. I can't believe the crap they let M*sk get away with, with his "it was just a joke" stuff... when he instigates double digit percentage paper losses for stockholders in a certain EV company and the like. He's done it more than once.

@LikeItOrLumpIt Subtoots are mysterious! I have learned that if I think a subtoot (or whatever it's called depending what platform) is directed at me? It's not.
