did another round of #screenprinting this afternoon and i'm pretty tickled with how cute this little skully guy turned out

i'll probably re-paint the screen before making more of this design because i think i can get it a little cleaner and neater on some of the edges, but i really enjoyed the process of painting it and using the screen filler so i'm excited to try more like this

so, i got my latest covid booster (yay) the other day along with some routine bloodwork and had to push myself pretty hard to make it to all of my appointments. all that exertion caught up with me today and i had to call out sick from work but i am out of sick time. if anyone feels like helping me make up for lost wages from today's shift (approx $100), it'd be a huge help!

not gonna lie i am feeling kind of bummed today

Partner and i took some of my stickers and patches to sell at their recent art market in Philly, and like, there were a ton of extenuating circumstances (bad table layout, hot weather, dealing with cranky puppies) but i only sold one (1) sticker

after working so hard on everything it's hard to not feel a little defeated, here

y'all. we're almost halfway there. i can't express my gratitude enough to everyone who has shared and donated. you're giving me and Partner hope today, and we're able to breathe easier knowing that we're gonna be able to take care of our baby. thank you, seriously.

update: we're at $1400 and change, we're so close. thank you so fucking much to everyone who has donated or boosted or shared this. it means the world to me and my partner to see this outpouring of love for our silly wonderful funny happy loving little dog, and "thank you" doesn't even begin to cover it.

our little dog, Pickle, has cancer again. it's a mast cell tumor and it's very treatable at the moment. we've got a great vet who's ready to remove it, but the operation's expensive and we're already struggling to make ends meet. we're running a gofundme, and anything helps. a boost would mean the world.

@MediaActivist think i got basic tools (some cheap frames, a board, ink, squeegee) for under $100, but we already had the cricut machine on hand so i've using that to cut stencils which has been really helped.

gonna try going back to photo emulsions soon for more intricate designs which is a little more spendy on transparency printing but still not bad

@MediaActivist just bought some screens and ink, failed miserably at doing it with photo emulsions and tried vinyl stencils instead!

oh no i have reached the point in screenprinting where i am thoroughly overwhelmed realizing how much there is to learn

got messy but i printed #patches today!! the "UNFASHIONABLY QUEER" was designed by my incredible partner, who rarely if ever uses this platform
