@petergleick Sorta Yes, keep pushing back. He was using tariffs to frame whatever grift/negotiation he is planning. Now, when he does something medium atrocious, people will say "Well at least it's not 25-100% Tariffs! We won! He backed down!" Meanwhile, he's getting bribed by tar-sand pipeline executives to destroy native lands in the US.
It is a very simple tactic and he's used it his whole life. Don't stop fighting back and don't fall for the framing device.

This is a weird ask. I don't know many of you on the fediverse very well. A good friend has liver failure from a genetic issue. He has less than a year to live if he doesn't get a donation.

The donor's liver will re grow, it won't impact you. He is shy and not good at asking for help.
