Liberals do this incredibly odd thing where, if person A is a fascist and you’re talking about person A so you say “the fascist went to the store” the liberal will say that you’ve “labeled” someone a fascist. While I do think that we should be careful about our use of the term (it means a specific thing, not just vaguely right wing) it’s absolutely wild to just… not use the word.

Liberalism is wildly incapable of resisting fascism. They’re gonna get us all fucking killed, and they’re gonna be the smuggest person in the death camp because they “did things the right way.”

Just came across someone who labels themselves a “neoliberal dissident.” So much of online politics values “being a rebel” and you see this on the far-right with how they label themselves “dissidents” despite upholding virtually every institution imaginable.

But you can’t support the world hegemonic economic order AND get to be a dissident. It’s simply impossible.

@abolisyonista this is something the anti-degrowth “communists” (they’re often PatSocs i.e. not real communists) don’t understand. Infinite growth with finite resources is not possible, degrowth is coming one way or the other, I’d rather have the version that doesn’t come with human extinction.

One of the funniest things of all time is the Soprano’s fan base. Not since comic fans fell in love with Rorschach has a piece of media’s point been missed so thoroughly.

The Sopranos is a nihilistic contemplation of the violence inherent to a capitalist patriarchy and the majority of its fans are like, typical fucking goombas. The *exact* type of person the show so ruthlessly criticizes is who makes up the fan base.
