    @sun Are you insane? You can't criticize grifters, they need their nitpick to be right, their whole argument is based around these minor points, how are they gonna milk the audience for 10 minutes then?

    But for real Milo is great, but i've always found it weird him going into comics. He can drawn the most perfect woman (singular), his X-Women comic was ridiculous because it looked like a bunch of clones talking with each other, the only difference was skin tone and hair.

    @IAMAL_PHARIUS Depends a lot. There are a lot of red tape the big ones will make openai or a contractor go through, but they all have gigantic inefficiencies but they require some creativity to find, small losses due to timing or production are easily calculated and a AI will not have big advantages.

    Like i am in the beginning stage of a CAD plugin proposal that will auto calculate possible material cost while the engineer builds the model instead of making the model then giving to a cost department to calculate.

    A lot of these industries also use a lot old equipment, some of these machines are like 50 years old, they are made to last that long because some of them cost dozens of millions and are completely custom, there's maybe like 4 of them in the world, and are completely manual. Sometimes you can adapt sensors to make them much more autonomous.

    A AI that can identify these points would be a real game changer.

    @IAMAL_PHARIUS I know some companies that would be willing to pay this much, like heavy industry, they sometimes have a lot of loss because of inefficiencies in the production line and they pay up the ass to solve these problems. A very well trained AI that can identify these points might work, BUT they will have to show actual results, and chatgpt is pants on head retarded for anything more complex than a webpage.

    @Wormwood Some people trying to justify this by "it's 5 kids, tell me a family this big that doesn't have some laundry hiccups, and the kids were not starving, thy just probably skipped breakfast that morning".

    Dude, i grew up in a family that big, with more than 20 cousins, and now with several nephews and nieces, in a 3rd world shithole, in the equivalent of the projects. NONE of us were hungry or had dirty clothes (at most were old pass on clothes).

    Was there any kids at school who would fit the document's description? The crackhouse kids.

    @alex Yeah. I legit kind of feel sad for the student. He is young so it's expected he doesn't have hard stances on several topics, a lot of it is going with his peers, with makes sense in societal evolution. But sadly we live in a sick society fueled by propaganda where everyone has to be right all the time, a young health person will fold if given enough "incentive".

    @alex Probably not soon. Maybe a scientist can have a eureka moment with the help of a llm. But the only way AI will cure anything will be when they are able to analyze, predict, protein fold, and simulate, then scientists can apply the scientific method and give the feedback to the AI. GPT4 can barely make it's way out of a maze.

    @Shadowman311 They are probably using a human maker solution like Metahuman to make their citizens.
    3 problems with that:
    a - these softwares are for highly detail humanoids so simplification of the end characters are responsibility of the developer.
    b - they are using Unity3D, that does not have automatic LOD generation, so de developer have to create lower detail models.
    c - these models normally use full skinned meshes, these are meshes for skeletal animation, so every frame of animation each vertex have to interpolate between the frames based on the bones, so the developer have to separate simple meshes from skinned meshes for optimization.

    Basically is modern developers don't understand that not everything is automatic, they actually have to understand the technology and optimize for it.
    That's why i fucking hate Unreal and Nanite, every faggot the jizz over nanite without having a clue of what it is other than "infinite detail" needs the rope.

    You are a developer, you know that identifying the problem is the best way to solving it.
    Saying "meat is icky" is stupid.
    Factory farming is horrifying, but going with "gross" is a sure way to have people make fun of your face instead of acepting the reality of paying for higher prices and keeping a eye on producers to have more humane sources of meat and animal produce.
