People keep saying things like "shop local" and "support small businesses", and while I agree in general, I live in an area full of small businesses that sell '90s vintage bands shirts for $400. I can't really support that, financially or morally.
So that thing that put me in the hospital last month, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, is apparently quite rare: 2 people in 100,000. It makes myasthenia gravis look positively pedestrian at around 34 people in 100,000. #IIH#MG#Zebra
@BethanyBlack Ohhhh, this is where i know you from! I follow you on tiktok, but I couldn't remember why. (I follow hardly anyone - not even my niece.) Glad I do, since it's nice to have a reliably funny account in my algorithm.
Can you imagine how Gary Hart, who lost his entire political career due to a consensual affair with an adult, must feel watching a rapist conman becoming the presumptive nominee for president? (Not that we haven't had rapists and conmen as president before, but this is on the record.) #USPol
@ryanc OK, I have actually done this (with a t-shirt under another t-shirt, but the same principle applies). First get rid of the straps by unclipping them or by Flashdancing them down. Now you have made a tube you can wiggle out of. Here's how.
1. Pull bra away from ribs at the left side, using your right hand. 2. Pull your left arm inside your shirt. 3. Wedge your left elbow into and through the bra tube. 4. Pull the bra tube over your left arm so that the bra is now hiked up on your shoulder. 5. Put your left arm back out of the left sleeve. 6. Repeat the process (steps 1-5) for the others side. 7. The bra tube is now around your neck, and you should be able to pull it over your head.
Tried to find a photo that showed why the park down the street from me, through which I walked to high school, is still among the most beautiful places I've been, and found this article. It's impossible to get a photo of it, but an autumn night in Mine Falls Park, when the trees are full of fireflies, is ineffably perfect. https://nothingbutnewengland.com/why-mine-falls-park-is-perfect-year-round/
When I was growing up, the discarded shopping carts poked up out of the water, and the river barely moved. Last time I made it out there, it was clean like this, and so beautiful. That forest has been protected since the founding of the town, maybe before. It's really a stunning oasis of old-growth in an increasingly bustling small city. Nashua isn't my home anymore, but it's a great place to set down roots. (I think. I don't know how wild politics have gotten there.)
