@LevelUp these bags come sealed with the receipt having a name on it in big letters. I always check the receipt because, well, mistakes happen. As long as they didn't open the actual sandwich wrapper (which is what I ordered) or any of the other components, I'd be fine eating it.

    Anyway. Frustrating.

Denizens of corteximplant, lend me your ears: when you receive the wrong food delivery from your service of choice, do you try to get ahold of the delivery person ASAP so that maybe they can correct the mistake, or do you just immediately say to yourself, "welp, that's not what I ordered" and throw it away?

My Doordash driver delivered my lunch order to the wrong house by mistake and didn't realize his mistake until he got here. He went back to try and get my order only to find that the recipient had thrown it in the trash already.

I'm not mad at him, mistakes happen. And he tried to rectify it. I'm irritated with the recipient because when I get someone else's order, I immediately contact the driver to try to remedy the situation. In this case, not only did I not get what I ordered and had to scramble for a plan with my remaining lunch time, the food was wasted and did nobody any good (unless the recipient did in fact eat it and just didn't want to say so).

It just chaps my butt cheeks that this person would just throw away perfectly edible food!

    Argh! :bec_angry: :bec_fu:

@LevelUp @EponymousBosh I'm betting that this person is an extremely shy pooper and can't go unless they're in a known, safe place. Doors and full enclosures aren't enough for them. I've had friends like this over the years. Their anxiety about it can literally make them sick (and not just because they haven't pooped for days).

So apparently #lookout on Android is flagging the official @pixelfed beta app as "riskware". Are you aware of this, @dansup ?

@5tern1 It's times like that when I start browsing the federated timeline. That can be a good place to find some content to start discussions about or meet some new people and potential follows. Also following hashtags and lists.

Plus, you can also see what parts of the world are awake and active at any given time, and where the timezones overlap. Pretty interesting!

@5tern1 I'll admit that i haven't used lists much, but they're essentially groups that you create of content you want to see. That does, of course, imply that you'll need to find the context to put in said lists, but I'll look around and see if I can find any resources that might have some suggestions to put together yourself.

@feditips might have some information and resources also.

@5tern1 There's also Guppe Groups, which might interest you. https://a.gup.pe/

I haven't used it myself, but I've considered it. From the homepage description, this might be what you're looking for if you can find some groups that interest you.

If you do try it out, I'd love to hear what you think about it. Maybe I'll try it. :grogu01:
