RealFeel 104° now. Just watered the garden for the second time today and contemplating a third shower. I moved back to Wyoming because 8 couldn't handle East Coast summers anymore. That was in 1997.

@ryanhoulihan I was thinking about that, and hoping she was ready for a big boost to her profile. I think she is, though. She seems ready for everything!

Couldn't sleep last night and wasn't feeling smart enough for my audio book (Mircea Cartarescu's Solenoid) so I grabbed one off my short books TBR and broke my entire heart on Yanick Lahens' Sweet Undoings. That is one of my favorite kinds of read, compact text with emotional heft punching way above its weight and going right for the gut. #Bookstodon

Got the veggie garden planted. Not a lot this year - it's mostly my responsibility to maintain and my capacity is diminished. Some tomatoes, snap peas, zucchini, brussels sprouts and basil. Trying the zukes as semi -hanging plants this year to see if that keeps mice from eating the blossoms 🤞
