Fifi Lamoura (fifilamoura@eldritch.cafe)'s status on Sunday, 30-Jun-2024 00:26:54 JST Fifi Lamoura @ryanhoulihan I share this feeling in a slightly different way. I have Graves Disease and finally got diagnosed (it took 12 years for a proper diagnosis but I've had it most of my life, going in and out of remission). I had a thyroidectomy a year before the pandemic, it took about a year to heal and stabilize and I was only starting to feel good and stable when the pandemic hit. So now I feel more whole and fully myself but, you know, civilization is collapsing and I'm now 60 (but feeling better and physically stronger than I have most of my life) so what's the point in trying to make plans like trying to return to school (for a degree that will take over 5 years) and starting a new career? It's a weird limbo to exist and to try to survive in, especially since I also have some young children and young people in my life that I care for deeply.
